Instagram plans to integrate Stories & Reels

Instagram is experimenting with ways to integrate Stories and Reels. Some Reels are being played for their full duration within the story flows as a part of this test. 

Some users can see full-length reels in their story streams. Usually, to watch a Reel you get only the first 15 seconds of a reel’s glimpse and then tap the Reel to watch the full video. 

Lately, the platform has noted a shift in user behaviour from sharing content in stories and DM to re-sharing posts to the main feed. Exerts call this initiative Instagram’s attempt to go with the changing trends and keep users engaged for a longer duration of time.

These articles start with AI-powered conversations that are developed with LinkedIn’s editorial team. Later, by using LinkedIn’s Skills Graph, the team matches each article with relevant member experts who can contribute their insights into the topic. These experts will be chosen on the basis of their professional experiences. 

This is one easy way for professionals, users and experts to come together and discuss on relevant topics and share their views.

In this accord, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta is creating a new ‘top-level product group for experimenting with AI-powered chatbots in WhatsApp and Instagram. 

Meta is focusing on building a large team to make creative tools, however, the long-term goal is to create AI personas that can help users in many ways.

After announcing that you have to pay for the blue badge on Facebook and Instagram, Meta is testing text-based AI tools for WhatsApp and Messenger. These tools are rumoured to be similar to the ChatGPT-style conversation bots.
