Livestream, the live video streaming service that has collaborated with Facebook in the past for Facebook Live, has launched another partnership with the social networking giant. From now onwards, brands with a Facebook fan page can link up their page with a Livestream channel and host live video on Facebook on their own, for the first time ever, absolutely free!
The application allows you to embed your Livestream channel onto your Facebook page as well as manage multiple tabs and customize your viewer. Livestream also plans on added Facebook Credit capability for Pay Per View services in the near future.
As of now, interested users can download the Livestream Procaster and start live streaming video in one click to Facebook, their Livestream channel, their personal website and/or phone. The new development gives brands, a cost effective method of leveraging their Brand endorsers and driving numbers to their page. It is a given fact that a live chat streaming with celebrities or a live streaming of a celebrity related event on Facebook drives numbers astronomically, as used by Nescafe for their Know your neighbour campaign with Deepika Padukone and Purab.
With such a tool available for free now, a lot of events can be streamed to people who are fans of the brand page. Already Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 World Premier has gone live through Livestream, giving never before access to the red carpet event to general fans. The tool is just the right thing required to bring live video content to Facebook.
