Rahul Balyan admits to the fact that this blog that he describes as ‘a marketer’s world view’, was an afterthought. However, what remains true to the core are the matters that are being talked about in the posts; which incidentally are marketing, culture or social issues centric, something Rahul strongly feels about.

Most topics dealt with are clearly segmented into Opinion, Reviews, Travelogue, Fiction and Image Gallery. While the Opinion segment clearly voices his concern and take on various socio-cultural issues, the Reviews section is a critique’s point of view on popular movies and sitcoms. The Travelogue documents his own sojourns across various patches of earth, and sky in certain cases. Most posts are in first person narrative and a gripping tale all the way till the end and begs a discerning judgment from the reader.

Aesthetically, the blog is quite neat and crisp with catchy headers that draw a reader to delve deeper into the posts. The blog theme is simple and soothing to eye as opposed to most popular blogs that are high on colour, design and jazz. The images used are of high-quality, with detailed captions that one could choose to see as a slideshow in the Image Gallery.

If one spends a decent amount of time in going through the blog posts, it’s easy to tell definitively that the topics are well researched and supplemented with hard facts. The same reason that allows Rahul to take a stand for/against an issue. Having said that, Rahul himself is very open to the idea of clearing the cloud of doubt that might arise in a reader’s mind in case his opinion is not particularly aligned to the reader’s. What’s more? He humbly seeks to address it separately, too. In fact his ability to put forward his views with brevity and backing it up with palpable logic is one of the reasons why we find him befitting of our title, Bloggerati of the Fortnight.
